hmmmm.

my throat seems to be getting better. i'll attribute it to longer sleeping hours.

i wish i could get a little bit more sleep. every work week, i'll wake up at 6 45am, brush my teeth, wash my face, bathe, prepare breakfast (sometimes mom wakes up and helps me), don my formal wear, eat, go style my hair, put on contacts (depends on my mood LOL), put on shoes and
finally leave the house at around 7 40am. all these done in less than an hour. kinda rushed and stuffs, but the train ride from lakeside to raffles place is awfully long man.

and another 8mins walk from my house to lakeside station.

plus with the weather so hot now, it feels like an oven sometimes inside the bloody train! walking from my house to the station makes me start sweating already; i've to cross an overhead bridge to reach the station so by the time i'm on the platform waiting my shirt is slightly drenched in sweat.

uncomfortable, yes i know, yucks, YES I KNOW YOU IDIOT.

don't have a choice man.

i still have memories of taking the train in my poly days. those times, the cab fare hasn't gone up yet (remember the $2 peak hour surcharge?) and i took the train at around the same time as i'm taking the train now to work.

it wasn't that bad last year; as the doors open at the opposite side of Dover station i'll hang around the opposite door, leaning against the glass panels. air-con was sufficient, though sometimes i'd think its rather cold.

now? woah though the frequency of trains have increased, same goes for passengers too. Boon Lay station is just before Lakeside station, if you consider the train is heading for Pasir Ris, and when the train reaches Lakeside the cabins are already 3/4 full. plus with the weather so hot now.... sometimes i wish they'd just blast the aircon.

hahahahaha but other than that i've pretty no qualms about our MRT system. Circle Line is coming up, with Downtown Line in the works now.


talk about getting a car.... getting a car of my own has always been one of my goals in life (yes, i know it sounds cliche but i LOVE cars and LOVE driving, though i won't say i'm a good driver myself. i'll say miniwong is one damn good driver.) with our MRT system expanding i wonder if i ever would need a car next time....

BUT. i'm pretty 99% sure i'll definitely get a car next time. hehe.


okay, so my throat doesn't hurt that much now. miniwong, kelvin, salty, jason and EK are heading down tonight to drive around and chill.. was supposed to head to clark quay for drinks though but i think they scrapped the plan.

either way i can't go cuz if i stayed out late, my throat would burn up the next morning. and i can't drink cuz i'm on medication (cough syrup and anti-biotics for my sore throat).

GOD THIS SUCKS MAN. damnit what're the odds of getting sick in a long weekend like this.......

seriously i think its karma man, i've laughed at jessie for too long when she got sick for the labour day holiday... grrrrr it was just some harmless laughter man.. =((


anyway. yesterday miniwong called me and asked if i wanna head down to Golden Mile to check out the tour packages. kelvin, miniwong and me myself might be heading to bintan for a short holiday.

i know, it sounds stupid for 3 guys to head to bintan for a holiday, but BUT BUT LOOK AT HAROLD AND KUMAR THEY WENT ON A ROAD TRIP IN SEARCH FOR WHITE CASTLE BURGERS AND THEN AMSTERDAM IN SEARCH OF MARIA THE FUCKING SIZZLING HOT BABE.

and zhang, soe and kush went to tioman together for a holiday.....

anyway so i was surprised cuz miniwong was supposed to be working on saturday. so he came to pick me and kelvin up in his minivan, and we went to simlim towers first cuz miniwong wanna get some electronic stuffs.

then we headed to golden mile there to check out the tour packages. bintan, batam, tioman, thailand, cruises.

after that kelvin was pondering if they should get cheap Casio water-proof watches for army, so once again we headed to Little Indiaaaaaa-- Mustafa Centre!

It was around 9pm when we reached there, no? erm. okay maybe 8plus. i tell you man, its FREAKING PACKED. well its a 24hours shopping centre anyway...

the watches there are cheap man.

in the end the 2 jokers decided they do not want any watches, cuz 1) Kelvin is going into Police, and he reckons in the Police Academy they won't push you into the swimming pool and swim -.- and 2) miniwong says his bro has an old Casio watch that faithfully served him throughout his NS years.

i, myself, got a pair of soccer pants and teeshirt. yeah, those kinda jersey material but just plain Umbro and Reebok shirt and pants. $30 bucks. not that cheap, not that expensive either but well at least the brands are reasonably established. i won't wanna buy some unknown brand and after 5 washes they've grown one size larger!


after mustafa kelvin suggested we head over to Princep St that area for some BEANCURD. heh heh.
